Our Success

We are not only providing sustainable initiatives but empowering our students to find innovative solutions to real-world issues. Asking students and teachers to be introspective in their evaluation of global needs, empowering them to celebrate community, courage, and change.

A few years ago, I only minimally utilized technology in a way that supplemented, not transformed, my teaching. Students would use their devices to type an essay, or conduct research. Occasionally, they would use their devices to create a project, usually a slideshow of sorts. Over the last eighteen months, my teaching has been completely transformed by technology. Now students complete all classroom tasks and assignments on their devices. They are able to download and upload notes and assignments, enhance their notes with voiceovers, links, and videos, and create more in-depth projects that allow for a deeper understanding of the material. By utilizing technology, students are given more options on how to show their understanding of skills and content, all while gaining the skills to navigate a technology-based world.

Our Journeys with Technology

“Mr. Schulz and the tech department have done so much to help us, coming down to coming to my home to run speed tests, etc. He was even able to get my boys a hot spot so they could stay connected to school!”

“I cannot imagine going back in the other direction. I don’t think I ever want to go back to the way I was teaching. I love so much what technology has done for me. I feel as though it has done a lot for the students and I think it’s the way of the future!”

“All of the apps and websites we use, make learning so much more exciting than textbooks and notebooks. We can create, work together, and research all while using the same device. I couldn't imagine going to school and not using the iPad.”

“I believe that due to the change in society and learning through technology, Adobe Draw is an easier, more creative format to use to learn about history. It’s also entertaining to create an animation to explain a historical event in today’s time!”
